Hershey's Valentine's Day Gift Box

Trying to juggle full time work and regular blogging is certainly going to be a challenge for me this year.  My aim to is to have two blog posts a month, one on a project and the other using scraps from the project.  However, whilst I am still designing some of that stuff I wanted to share with you another project I have organised for my class ladies, along with the day care educators for Valentine’s Day.  I am so in love with the So In Love Designer Series Paper and have started organising a class for this so I have some scraps left over that I decided to use and cover Hersey Nuggets.  I see these types of things in America all the time, but I finally found some in Costco so just had to buy them.  These scrap pieces are 1 inch x 3 inches and wrap around the nuggets.  Then I just designed a little box for four of them to fit in.  I had every intention of using a die to cut a nice little window here, but when I thought about how many I had to make I wen...

Let the BLOGGING trip begin

I found these candles at Kmart and they were so adorable that I had to buy them and have now decided they are going to be gifts for the ladies that attend my classes.   I’ve also put a couple away as part of my sister’s birthday present because she is absolutely crazy for pink and flamingos.   I personally prefer the cactus.   The candles were $3 for a box and you get six single candles.   Please see tutorial for the details on how to make some cute little boxes to fit these candles into.   They are so adorable. Part of my New Year’s Resolution is to use my scraps and now with the budget strings tightened more than they have in the past I can only purchase new paper and ribbon if it is going to be used, as opposed to hoarding which I have been known to do in the past.
